The payroll staff also transmits payments and produces the following: quarterly reports for 941 IRS withholding forms, various deductions for optional life and health insurance, various other deductions required by law, and reporting of employee contributions to 401(a), 457 and retiree health investment plans.

In FY 2017-2018, there are 719 full-time and 54 part-time/seasonal approved positions. Most employees are paid bi-weekly; elected and appointed officials are paid monthly.  All employees are paid by direct deposit.  

The City prepared 19,579 payments between July 2016 - June 2017 to 841 employees of almost $27 million in net pay as shown below:
