About the City Administrator
The City Administrator is responsible for the daily operations and management of the City and its more than 600 employees, as well as overseeing a General Fund budget of over $53 million. Within the City Administrator’s Office reside the Assistant City Recorder for Records, the Facilities Project Manager, the City Engineer, and the Communications Division.
Eric S. Stuckey, 42, has served as City Administrator for the City of Franklin since January 1, 2009. The City Administrator is responsible for the daily operations and management of the City and its more than 600 employees, as well as overseeing a General Fund budget of over $53 million. Within the City Administrator’s office reside the Assistant City Recorder for Records, Human Resources, the City Engineer, Facilities Project Manager, Legal, and the Communications Division.
Prior to this position, Stuckey served as the Assistant County Administrator for Hamilton County, Ohio (population 842,843; county seat – Cincinnati) since August of 2000. His responsibilities with Hamilton County have included oversight of the development of the County’s $1.3 billion annual budget, management of County-owned professional sports facilities and riverfront parking operations, economic development, human resources, central purchasing services, grants management, risk management, and small business development. Mr. Stuckey also served as the lead staff person for the county on large scale projects including the expansion/renovation of the Cincinnati convention center and the initiation of a $600 million private development along Cincinnati’s riverfront, known as “The Banks.”
In addition to his service with Hamilton County, Eric’s 16-year public service career has included five years as the Assistant City Manager and Budget Director for the City of Elgin, Illinois (population 94,487) and service in the City of Dayton, Ohio’s Office of Management and Budget. Mr. Stuckey is a cum laude graduate of Miami University (Ohio) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Eric also earned a Master of Public Administration degree with honors from the University of Kansas. Eric is active in his profession and community working in various service and leadership positions.
Eric and his wife, Lisa, have two school-aged children and live in Franklin.
