The Community Relations Division develops internal and external communications and citizen participation initiatives. It also handles media relations for the City and manages the City’s Government Access Channel, Comcast CableChannel 10.

Cable Channel 10

The City of Franklin’s CableChannel 10 began airing in October 2001. Programming includes an informative Information Billboard, which contains meeting and program replay notices and other items of interest to the public; meetings (live and re-broadcast); Community Outlook, a Q&A session on various topics of interest to the residents of Franklin; and “TraffiCast,” the special video feed from the City’s state-of-the-art Traffic Operations Center. CableChannel 10 can be seen throughout Franklin and Williamson County to all households that subscribe to Comcast cable.

Application for Event Permit

All requests for events within the City of Franklin (including, but not limited to, block parties, local special events, and parades) must be made on the following form:

 

Application should be completed and forwarded to the City's Community Relations Manager for review AT LEAST 90 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT. You will be notified of the date your event goes before the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for approval. Please read Title 16, Chapter 5 of the Franklin Municipal Code for more information.
